PETROF DUO DAZZLE DALLAS
The internationally recognized PETROF DUO recently performed their music magic at the exclusive Blue Candlelight recital series.Providing an entertaining yet sophisticated concert-quality performance, the Duo brought to the Dallas audience a unique and inspiring musical experience.
Performing on two Petrof concert grand pianos (provided by The Piano Gallery of Dallas, courtesy of owner Bob Rosenthal), the Duo weave a palette of contemporary and classical compositions to delight any aficionado. Their four hands flash rhythmically over the keyboards complementing and challenging each other’s technical expertise.
The unique Blue Candlelight concerts usually take place in the Baron House, one of the most elegant residences in Preston Hollow. Designed to emulate the ambiance of the 18 and 19 century salons of Paris and Vienna, the music-making occurs in a spacious yet intimate living room setting. There is no stage and no separation from the audience which provides a wonderfully participatory experience for performers and audience members alike.
Due to the demands of this special double piano performance, this concert was relocated to the Brook Hollow Golf Club. The concert management went to great lengths to preserve the intimate nature of the Blue Candlelight tradition. The concert room was set up to promote a sense of closeness and guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres prior to the salon-style performance.
During and after the performance, the appreciative audience was enthusiastic in its applause. “We have so enjoyed the opportunity to share our music in ,” said Anatoly Zatin, one of the Petrof Duo. “This has been an excitingevening to feel such love and acceptance from the audience. We look forward to coming back!”
