Piano Competition in Norway

Holthe & Bakke AS is a major Petrof dealer in Norway and we are proud of their inititative in arrainging the "Klaveriaden" together with Asker Kulturskole near Oslo. Asker Kulturskole is one of the biggest and most active culture schools in Norway.

First round, which started in autumn of 2008, included 350 students. 60 students made it to the finals on 6th June 2009. The final evening started at 6 p.m. and Petrof P 194 Storm grand piano was played.

Jan Fredrik Heyerdahl - leader, Kristine Bratlie, Elizabeth Walker

Winners:

Marie Stradli Pedersen - the best pianist

Julia Nguyen - pianist who made the biggest progress during the competition

Each of the winners became a proud owner of Petrof upright piano P 125 G1 which is the same model Holthe & Bakke delivered to the New Norwegian Opera House.

Pianoverkstedet Holthe and Bakke AS would like to thank everyone who helped to organize the competition - to all piano students, to the piano teachers and to the jury. A special thanks to Rigmor Stenvik, who embraced the idea from the beginning , and did a wonderful job of organizing. The PETROF Company supported this event all the way. A special thanks to Jan Petrof who came to Norway to attend the finals, and to Vigdis Bjørum (importer) who is always there to support us.
